House Fire Leaves One Person Injured


A house fire in Morro Bay Saturday afternoon caused about $150,000 in damages. An 87-year-old woman was injured.  She received advanced life support and was transported to a local hospital.  The cause of the fire is under investigation. It broke out around 3:40 Saturday afternoon at a home on the 700 block of Center Court in Morro Heights.

Bill Introduced in Sacramento Would Require Gun Sales to be Videotaped


A bill introduced in Sacramento would require all California gun sales to be videotaped.   A similar ordinance adopted in San Francisco back in November prompted that city’s last gun store to close. Ribbon Cutting at Atascadero Zoo for Rebuilt Aviary


A ribbon-cutting at the Atascadero Zoo Saturday for the newly rebuilt aviary. Zoo director Alan Baker tells KVEC a tree fell on the aviary, forcing them to renovate walk through exhibit. Traffic back up last night on northbound 101 at the Gaviota pass.  A car plunged over the side of highway about a quarter mile north of the tunnel.  The driver lost control of his ford mustang just after eight Wednesday night. Late yesterday afternoon, a train struck a 22-year-old man at Foothill and California in San Luis Obispo.
