On 7-9-14, San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Deputies discovered an abandoned panga boat on San Simeon State Beach. No narcotics were discovered in the boat. No one is in custody. The boat is estimated to be 30-35 feet long with three outboard motors. The boat has been towed from the scene. The Sheriff's Office will take possession of the boat. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Four people were sent to the hospital following a three-vehicle car crash that occurred yesterday morning just after nine. Twenty-four-year-old Elizabeth Turner from Salinas was driving her Volkswagon Jetta on Highway 46 East and trying to pass when she hit a Ford Escape head-on before crashing into a semi-truck. Two fires that broke out Monday afternoon near Lake Nacimiento have been extinguished. Fire officials were called just after 4 in the Oak Shores and Heritage Ranch areas. Close to twenty acres were burned. The cause of both fires is under investigation.

Illegal fireworks were the cause of a vegetation fire on San Benito Road in the early morning hours of July Fourth. Two engines from Atascadero City Fire, one engine from Paso Robles Fire, one engine from CalFire, one ambulance from San Luis Ambulance and Two Atascadero Police Units were sent to the scene.
