Cal Poly Student Sexually Assaulted On Campus


Cal Poly Police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred early Sunday morning on campus.  University police say it happened at Muir Hall, one of the red brick dorms. The victim told police she was unconscious and drunk when she was assaulted. This is the third reported sexual assault involving Cal Poly students since January.

Police Arrest 2 Suspects In Sunday’s Gang Related Stabbing


Santa Maria Police says they arrested two people in connection to a gang related stabbing.  It happened Sunday just after 9:30 PM on West Morrison Street. 22-year-old Michael Uvalle and 21-year-old Rodolfo Perez face charges of attempted murder. The victim was taken to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment and is listed to be in stable condition.
